Totem
poles from the Ancient Haida village of Ninstints - 1981 designated
as a World Heritage site - "Monument
of the Past" by
Judi Wild
This is the
third in a series of 7.
"I
used antique black & white photos dating back as far as 1901 for
part of my reference material".
This Frontal pole
originally had a separate carving of an eagle perched on the top.
The base is now in the museum of Anthropology U.B.C. The carved
top eagle has returned to the earth.
